My Stimulis Package

Here is my idea. Kill NAFTA. Raise tariffs. These two things would bring us back to being a manufacturing nation (rather than a service nation as we have become) and all that that implies. They would also add money to the coffers so maybe we could start paying back the Chinese.

Let's see...that would raise prices to consumers by about 250%, demand for everything would plummet, the recession would accelerate into depression, it would hasten the removal of the US from the ranks of world powers....

Naw, let's not do it.

I note that you said HASTEN removal of US from ranks of world power...then, you see it as a fait accompli, albeit one that can be delayed by printing and circulating lots of cash (a cause of rising prices in itself).
